Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
We love charts here at GamePron, and one of the highlights of our week is receiving the latest details from UKIE, who send us the 40 best-selling titles in Britain, as announced by the The Association for UK Interactive Entertainment.
No surprises here, yet again, as Modern Warfare 3 scoops the highest grossing opening week for any entertainment title – of all time (officially cooler than Beyoncé!). To compare – it’s outsold the opening box office for the last four Harry Potter films, combined. And, in case you were curious, the leading platform is Xbox 360.
The other major FPS has tumbled to third, thanks to that RPG that had the audacity to also be released in such a crowded launch period. Still, not a bad showing, especially as you’d imagine most gamers would have snapped up their copies the moment it went on sale.
